Liu, who believed that the Hong Kong consumer market was ready for a specialty coffee experience that can be offered only by The Coffee Academïcs, an independent group of coffee houses. The Coffee Academïcs has continuously garnered the adoration of coffee lovers and experts alike, winning numerous accolades and awards throughout its opening. The Coffee Academïcs Hong Kong was ranked among the '25 Coffee Shops Around The World You Have to See Before You Die' by BuzzFeed in 2014, and 'The World's Best Coffee Shops' by The Telegraph in 2016. The Coffee Academïcs Singapore was also featured in the 2017 Michelin Guide for specialty coffee. Moreover, the brand was ranked the first in specialty coffee by Frost and Sullivan Report in 2017.
